Renewing with past funders

Who has funded the theatre
In Funders, Dana Whitfield selects the Funder chip. It lists the three funders that have given the theatre money or goods: Alderglen Community Foundation, Elkhorn Ridge Foundation and Veldt & Sons Hardware. Each row shows what's secured, what's still open and the next date.

A funder moves to Funder when an award is recorded, and GrantFlex never moves it back. Penhallow Family Foundation funded the theatre in 2023 but hasn't since, so its relationship is set to Lapsed by hand. See Your funders.
Past funders from setup
Setup's Past support step asks who has funded you before. Dana listed Elkhorn Ridge, Alderglen and Penhallow there. When a funder from that list isn't in Pipeline yet, Pipeline shows Track renewals with past funders. Its button, such as Add 2 as prospects, adds a record at Prospect for each, with a note about the past grant. All three of the theatre's are already in Pipeline, so it doesn't appear. See The five setup steps.
Going back to Elkhorn Ridge
Elkhorn Ridge Foundation gave $7,500 for the theatre's 2025 summer show. Its final report was accepted, and the award is closed. Now Dana asks Elkhorn for more: $25,000 from its Community Stages Program for new stage lighting.
Elkhorn's page in Funders keeps the whole relationship. Our history counts $32,500 asked and $7,500 secured, and lists both records. The new request is Awaiting response, with a decision expected in about five weeks.

Further down, the Timeline lists every touch, newest first. On a site visit, Elkhorn's grants manager asked for an electrician's quote with the proposal. Dana logged the visit with Log an interaction, and the quote became one of the proposal's requirements. See A funder's profile.
Before a grant ends
Alderglen's $12,000 Youth Arts Fund award is still Active, with about eight months left in its grant period. When an open award's grant period ends within 120 days, GrantFlex adds a renewal record at Prospect. Its name starts with Renewal, and it carries a date to start the request 60 days before the period ends.

Luis Ortega, who owns the Youth Arts Fund record, then gets a Plan the renewal notification. The date shows on the calendar marked Estimate, with reminders before it. See Award letters, terms and payments.
After a decline
When Penhallow declines the theatre's $15,000 capacity request, Dana records the decline with Remind us to reapply next cycle turned on. GrantFlex adds a new Penhallow record at Prospect, with the next cycle's estimated date about 11 months out. The closed record links to it as Next cycle. See When a funder says no.

Who gave again
In Insights, the Funders card asks Who gave again: of the funders who made an award in the 12 months before the last 12, how many have made another since. For the theatre, the one such funder is Elkhorn Ridge, and it hasn't given again yet. So it's listed under Not renewed with its last award. If Elkhorn says yes to Community Stages, it counts as giving again. See Insights.
